Assistant Digital Services Manager - Nottingham
Overview:
The Digital Services team are responsible for leading a wide range of operational & business processes across our UK and ROI digital platforms, ensuring that they land right first time, operate effectively and always meet our customer’s expectations.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our digital first team working collaboratively, leading your own and cross functional teams to plan, deliver and run high profile projects and operational activities at pace and to agreed critical deadlines.
You will learn and deliver how our products, promotions, new brands and big events are operationally planned, set up, tested and implemented online.
About the opportunity:
Boots has an aggressive ambition to grow its digital business, Digital Services sit at the heart of the team with responsibility for the exemplary operational planning, testing, sign off & implementation across all customer channels.
We currently have a role to support the Digital Services Manager and taking a lead on some of the projects and programs on the roadmap whilst taking responsibility for some of the ad hoc tasks within the team alongside other Assistant Managers.
• Coach and develop a team of experts in your & the wider the team on any existing or future projects which impact the Digital function. These experts will need support in gaining & sharing knowledge of our systems, processes and end to end customer journey & channeling this into new requirements for development. This role could lead on testing, engagement and implementation of a project
• Has the capability & experience in managing multiple priorities/tasks either through project leadership in the digital space or leading a production style team and able to successfully report on progress, highlight & track risks and manage stakeholders appropriately
• Is focused on improving the ways of working and productivity of our systems and processes with an open mind, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and joining this up with the functional future strategy & programs
• Works as a team with all areas of Digital, building & maintaining strong relationships to truly partner with the development and implementation teams to deliver what is needed for our customers & colleagues, challenging where appropriate in a hybrid in-office/virtual way and supporting our teams to find solutions to do the same
About you:
• We are looking for someone who is passionate about customers, has an eye for detail and a pragmatic approach with operational experience and an understanding and exposure to digital systems. Existing knowledge of our digital HCL systems is highly preferable to drive this role as an SME leader and team forward
• Capable of coaching & developing colleagues to learn quickly, be honest in what is & isn’t working and deliver encourage right first time in a fast paced, high-pressured environment
• Embraces and advocates change and able to articulate this easily with others. Can use previous experience and confidence to ride the highs and lows of a dynamic online business and react positively and pragmatically in all situations posed
• Experienced and confident stakeholder manager across multiple teams/levels and third parties, holding to account & escalating to Digital Services Manager / Senior Manager where required
• Flexible & available to work out of hours, early mornings & late evenings where required to support the wider Digital team
• This role would suit a strong leader of existing operational or data processes who is looking to expand their knowledge in the Digital space leaning towards the customer, order fulfilment, product & promotional side of the Digital team.
