Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Utilise all available tools (web analytics e.g. Adobe Analytics, Tableau, big data platform, user replay tools etc) to proactively identify data-driven opportunities for improvement in the LEGO.com shopper experience, sharing actionable insights across team and in relevant forums to trigger action and site optimization
- Alongside the Business intelligence team, interrogating the data sources within the Big Data Platform using SQL, R or another coding language to create insight, reports and dashboards that empower decision making within the broader team
- Build and maintain key shared dashboards within Adobe Analytics and act as the admin owner for both the dashboards and the Adobe Analytic platform
- Working alongside the main point of contact for Global Ecommerce Product Owners in all ad hoc reporting needs. e.g. payment method analysis, search, navigation, etc.
- Develop complex site performance dashboards for site optimisation launches, using owned and 3rd Party data sources
- Support maintenance and updates of shopper segmentation models and ensure high standards of data governance
- Identify ingestion opportunities for the big data platform to create a more comprehensive data set, working alongside Business Intelligence to prioritise the requirements
- Perform regular audits across site and campaigns to ensure alignment to tagging and tracking standards

A part of the LEGO Retail organisation, the Insights department is responsible for delivering actionable insights that drive performance across all channels and regions, including new market entry, and plays a pivotal role in the LEGO Group commercial strategy.
How we use data in LEGO Retail is changing as a fully integrated data ecosystem is brought to life across all areas of the business. This role will play a key part in defining and delivering how we utilise this data to support the continued growth of LEGO Retail as an ever increasingly important component of The LEGO Group.
Working alongside the key data owners in LEGO Retail, supported by an overarching data strategy, this role will focus heavily on building long-lasting relationships with LEGO Retail shoppers, determining why and how a deeper level of engagement can be developed and the value of these interactions. This is a newly created role in a newly created Insights unit with scope to develop and grow the role and it will play a critical part in the shift to a more holistic set of data sources and a focus towards actionable data-driven insights that drive business performance.
Do you have what it takes?
- Validated experience working in an insights and analytics environment (with experience in Adobe Analytics or similar, Tableau dashboards, SQL based databases and/or R/Python)
- Experience in SQL is a must
- Experience working with big data platforms
- Solid understanding of personalisation, loyalty programs and customer value
- Ability to put together clear and concise practical insights from multiple data sources to answer business questions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and engaging stakeholders, including development of business cases/investment models for internal consensus
- Passion for developing a deep understanding of user needs throughout the shopping journey, and enthusiasm for exceeding shopper expectations
- A hard-working, positive approach and determination to overcome obstacles; can do attitude, results orientation with a focus on quality, efficiency and operational excellence
- Open, collaborative communication style, with experience working across cultures and time zones to build connected, sustainable relationships regardless of organizational structure
