Digital Analyst - Yeovil / Remote

Overview

Reporting to the Digital Analytics Manager, you’ll be a key player in helping us to understand what makes our web channels work. Your data collation and analysis will support us in understanding the drivers of online performance and customer behaviour to uncover opportunities for improvement. This role is focussed not only on reporting & data management, but most importantly you will provide insight that drives actionable changes within the ecommerce team

This is a hybrid role, where you’ll be based in our Head Office in Yeovil 3 days a week, working flexibly around the core office hours of 10am-3pm.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse data from multiple sources to understand daily, weekly, monthly digital performance
  • Support with the production of a reporting framework and look continually for opportunities to streamline and improve
  • Perform ad-hoc pieces of analysis, from category deep dives to campaign performance, delivering clear actionable insights to share with stakeholders
  • Proactively explore areas of opportunity that could help increase our e-commerce performance KPI’s
  • Provide focused support to Digital Trading Managers & Merchandisers in an Analytics Business Partner capacity
  • Support the Analytics team with the creation and presenting of key presentations; with focus on story-telling and actionable insight
  • Help embed a data-driven culture into the E-commerce team and wider business by working with key stakeholders to help facilitate data driven decision making for all digital activities, including digital marketing analytics, trading optimisation and web development
  • Constantly keep an eye on market performance to understand the impact of existing and new competition
  • Become a power user of web analytics tools in the ecommerce team including Google Analytics, SimilarWeb and ContentSquare – drive awareness and capability of the tools to the wider team

Required skills & experience

  • You’ll be numerate and analytical, used to working with numbers
  • You’ll have great attention to detail in order to spot anomalies in the data as well as flag early trends that are forming
  • You’ll have strong Excel skills, particularly the ability to manipulate and format information clearly in Excel
  • Experience in sharing output to a variety of stakeholders
  • A real curiosity to explore data further and be proactive in gathering insights
  • A demonstrable interest in eCommerce (websites, online retailing etc)
  • A proven ability to make data driven decisions
