Digital Content Manager - Yeovil / Remote

Overview

Reporting to a Senior Content & Optimisation Manager, you will own and deliver the planning, coordination and execution of all digital content across all UK and IE digital platforms, optimising the customer experience, revenue and conversion rates and in support of the Screwfix growth plan.

This is a hybrid role, where you’ll be based in our Head Office in Yeovil 3 days a week, working flexibly around the core office hours of 10am-3pm.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of all digital content across all UK & IE digital platforms
  • Assist in the management of the content on our homepages ensuring they are fully optimised for conversion rate and revenue at all times
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication of all relevant content plans for effective execution
  • Collaborate closely with the SEO manager and SEO agency to deliver all SEO content required in an accurate and timely way
  • Proactively work with the Customer Service Centre to ensure continuous improvement of all content that drives customers to call, with the objective to reducing calls where possible
  • Manage the prioritisation of design briefs into the Design team ensuring that briefs are clear and complete and briefed in a timely way
  • Work collaboratively with the Digital Merchandising team supporting them on the delivery of their product/category offers across all digital platforms prioritising to those that drive the most value and return
  • Manage the briefing and uploading of all content related merchandising banners across all UK & IE platforms
  • Effectively manage a Content Assistant to support with all content management Conduct regular 1 to 1s and quarterly reviews, engaging great performance through regular feedback, supported development and performance objectives
  • Where relevant, measure, analyse and report regularly on the performance of content and assets and use this insight to influence and make continuous recommendations to improve our performance and proposition
  • Where relevant, A/B test content to ensure customer experience is maximised
  • Action all content changes required in a timely and effective way clearly communicating to all relevant stakeholders
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to understand future content requirements and the impact these have on our digital channels. Support and influence where necessary to deliver aligned plans that deliver successful growth for the business
  • Stay abreast of relevant competitor activity, understanding how others deliver content and use this insight to influence and drive change/improvements where required
  • Assist and support the Digital Campaign Manager where required

Required skills & experience

  • 1+ years previous ecommerce experience
  • Clear communicator who enjoys working with others
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work calmly under pressure
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to work to targets in a deadline driven environment
  • Proven ability to brief and shape online creative for onsite promotions.
  • Able to motivate and influence others
  • People management skills , plus ability to forge and build relationships across teams
