Digital Trading Assistant - Yeovil / Remote
Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Digital Trading Assistant who will be reporting to the Digital Trading Merchandiser, you will have category ownership to deliver against conversion rate and revenue targets and grow your category.
This is a hybrid role, where you’ll be based in our Head Office in Yeovil 3 days a week, working flexibly around the core office hours of 10am-3pm.
Key responsibilities
Supporting the Digital Trading Merchandisers, own specific product categories to drive sales on Screwfix.com, delivering against sales and conversion target
Regularly analyse the performance of your category in Google Analytics to identify opportunities for increasing revenue, conversion rate and AOV
Action changes required to your categories in a timely and effective way ensuring measurement is always possible
Implement required SEO changes on your products & categories to improve the visibility of them in organic search and drive an increase in visits
Proactively ensure your products are findable across the website including site search, navigation, facets and relevantly placed links
Work with the digital marketing and CRM team to ensure that category traffic is optimised for all E-Commerce channels including email, paid search and affiliates
Understand the automated product recommendation and on-site search tool to increase average order values and optimise regularly for your categories
Manage the removal and additions of products for owned categories where required
Work closely with your Commercial counterparts to understand future product plans and the impact this has on our digital channels. Support where necessary to deliver joined up plans that deliver successful growth for the business
Support in producing periodic reviews of performance, understanding how this may impact future performance and reflect risks and opportunities
Support in pulling together annual plans for your category highlighting areas for opportunity and growth and help execute against these plans
Gather relevant competitor activity, understanding how our products, prices, promotions etc compare across our competitor set as well as competitor merchandising techniques
Required skills & experience
Analytical – has the ability to analyse & interpret data to make timely and considered decisions & actions
Attention to detail and a great numeric ability (including strong Excel skills)
Ability to organise and prioritise a large number of tasks and work calmly under pressure
Flexible, enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to work to targets in a deadline driven environment.
