Digital Trading Manager - Yeovil / Remote
Overview
Reporting to our Head of Trading, you will lead a team of merchandisers who have ownership of several categories to deliver against conversion rate and revenue targets.
This is a hybrid role, where you’ll be based in our Head Office in Yeovil 3 days a week, working flexibly around the core office hours of 10am-3pm.
Key responsibilities
Manage multiple categories to drive sales on Screwfix.com, delivering against sales and conversion targets
Lead by example in driving the use of data across all decision making and to influence other stakeholders where required
Drive an action orientated culture within your team to ensure Action changes required to your categories in a timely and effective way ensuring measurement is always possible
Proactively ensure your categories and products are easily findable across all our digital platforms including site search, navigation, facets and relevantly placed links and constantly measure and evaluate the performance of these
Own the presentation of your products across PDP’s and PLP’s ensuring they are fully optimised for conversion working closely & collaboratively where needed with the content team
Lead by examples in the work required to support SEO optimisation in your products & categories to ensure growth through this vital channel
Work closely with the digital marketing and CRM team to ensure that category traffic is optimised across all our channels
Ensure your team proactively uses our product recommendation and on-site search tools to increase average order values, cross sell and upsell and measures constantly to evaluate performance on an ongoing basis
Work closely with your Commercial counterparts to understand future product plans and the impact this has on our digital channels. Support and influence where necessary to deliver joined up plans that deliver successful growth for the business
Produce periodic reviews of performance, understanding how this may impact future performance and reflect risks and opportunities
Create annual plans for your category highlighting areas for opportunity and growth, communicate them effectively to all relevant stakeholders and deliver against these plans
Build strong relationships with Supply Chain understanding the role that stock and lead time plays in our overall conversion rate. Influence where required to drive the right outcome for our ecommerce channels and growth
Required skills & experience
4+ years previous ecommerce experience
Highly analytical and data driven
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work calmly under pressure
Flexible, enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to work to targets in a deadline driven environment
Self-driven and enjoys driving change
Effective communication and interpersonal skills at a senior level
Experience of managing people
