Location – Leeds LS15 8GB

Salary – £22,000 – £35,000 per annum

Role

To lead the planning and delivery of best-in-class web merchandising and experience to our customers, a key focus of our digital strategy to drive customer acquisition, retention and advocacy. The role will lead the delivery of on-site content and merchandising of products and promotions throughout our consumer health websites, Pharmacy2u.co.uk and Chemist Direct.co.uk

Responsibilities

Planning:

  • Support the development of a customer-centric activity plan through collaboration with the commercial and marketing teams, competitor reviews and retail marketing best practice.
  • Working with the commercial teams to ensure all product ranges are available to our customer, with the right product descriptions, images and copy to promote the product and drive add-to-basket
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the customer journey throughout our sites i.e. content, UX/UI, features
  • Define the cross-sell opportunities in and across the health and wellness categories.
  • Assist the wider team to undertake Keyword, competitor, and content research – ensuring keywords, titles, and product descriptions for all listings are optimised and well-ranked in search results.

Execution:

  • Timely execution of the activity plan, including onsite campaigns, product or delivery promotions, product launches, seasonal activity
  • Manage and publish content updates (banners, images, copy, videos) to support promotions, events or campaigns
  • Execute conversion / tests activity to drive improvement in key conversion metrics
  • Assist with the testing of new features or website improvements to ensure changes are correct and users will experience no issues.

Optimisation:

  • Review analytics platforms to provide insight and understanding into trading results.
  • Optimise landing pages, product lister pages, onsite search and cross-sell maximum conversion rate from all key touchpoints in the customer journey
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to ensure all offers and products are accurate and performing Ensure the effective day to day maintenance of products, categories, and their content
  • Use key trends and events insight to forward plan deals and promotions and areas of focus.
  • Monitor best performing traffic sources and work with the teams to constantly feedback and improve performance.

Skills

  • Web/Digital merchandising expertise in a retail environment
  • Strong analytical, technical & mathematical abilities
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent oral, verbal & written communication skills
  • Results driven and comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
  • Analytical tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Business)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Experience of E-Commerce platforms & content management systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics and other tools in the Google suite
  • Retail experience, either in a pureplay or omni-channel
  • Health & Wellness experience would be advantageous
  • An understanding of Adobe CS to create mock-ups & basic HTML coding & web design experience a plus.
  • Degree or equivalent ideally in a Marketing related field
