E-Commerce Trading Manager - Watford / Remote
Full Job Description
We’re looking for an e-commerce trading manager to join our fantastic, growing digital team. You will be responsible for the day to day trading and enrichment of our digital content and customer experience. Plan and lead the product range offers and promotions in collaboration with commercial and price planning teams and ensure the entire business is coordinated and aligned behind the business priorities. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in some exciting projects!
What are we looking for?
This role will be responsible for delivering online sales within the business unit and then overall multichannel sales, which will rise each year in line with our 5 year transformational plan.
What you’ll be doing;
- Lead all onsite commercial decisions in line with the Wickes Trading plan with the objective of driving commercial success through decision making, by delivering best in class website experience and ensuring we have the most relevant website through onsite personalisation tools.
- We expect this individual to be an experienced Ecommerce Trading Manager, who will be able to confidently elevate existing E-commerce initiatives as well as identifying new areas of opportunity online to elevate user experience, acquire and retain customers, execute digital marketing strategies, reinforce the brand identity and to ultimately drive revenue and increase conversion within business unit responsibility.
- Responsible for developing and executing trading strategies to drive performance and achieve budgeted sales and profit targets, whilst working effectively with stock control teams to manage the online lifecycle of products and availability. Ensure Wickes website is up to date, relevant and personalised.
- To maximise the sales & profit potential of the ecommerce sales channels through commercial understanding of product, customer and internal capabilities, whilst maintaining the brand image and not compromising total company profits.
- Plan and lead the product range offers and promotions in collaboration with commercial and promotional planning teams
- Ensure the entire business is coordinated and aligned behind the online trading priorities
- Manage the monthly/annual sales and business reports providing detailed analysis on key business metrics including site performance, conversion rates, sales by product and all digital channels.
What we’re looking for…
- A minimum of 4 years eCommerce experience in similar role
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong commercial acumen and financial competence
- Proven influencing skills across all levels of business (including board level)
- Exceptional collaboration skills. Bringing together cross functional groups of people
- Experience using Google Analytics (or similar web analytics) to identify trends and take appropriate actions
- An understanding of SEO, and the impact of actions on search visibility
- Web Merchandising
- External best practice in development of trading plans and marketing calendars
- Website analytics platforms experience
