Ecommerce Analyst - Bournemouth
Salary – up to £50,000pa

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 10am to 3pm with a flexible approach to start and finish times

About the Role
We are looking for an analyst to join our Ecommerce team. You will be accountable for providing clear, commercial, and actionable insights to the ecommerce team to deliver a better customer experience, higher conversion, and stronger sales. You will be tenacious in your approach to finding root causes, issues, and opportunities to drive channel performance and play in key role in adding significant value to an already successful online business
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the delivery and ownership of the full suite of ecommerce reports across a real time (on-demand), daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Interpret the data to provide commentary as part of the report suite that joins up the data to tell the story of trends and exceptions
- Play a key role in the product management team by identifying issues and opportunities in the site user experience throughout the funnel, and tracking the impact of changes
- Deliver ad hoc and deep dive analysis to support business planning, e.g. across specific categories, products, acquisition channels or journeys
- Ownership of the analytics platforms and supplier relationships, understanding the roadmaps and new features; also make use of alerts within the platforms to identify real time exceptions
- Ownership of data integrity and accuracy, working closely with IT to ensure that tagging is correct and fit for purpose
- Support all ecommerce strategic change with business modelling and provide dedicated reporting and dashboards in line with launches, to track the impact from day 1, communicating to all stakeholders
- Work closely across the whole ecommerce team, including finance partners, to gain awareness and understanding of end-to-end channel performance to ensure all analysis and interpretation is accurate and has the right context and support business forecasting
- Support the Digital Experience team across the key areas of optimisation, personalisation, and merchandising, as well as create a self-serve data culture to support them in using the analytics tools independently
About You
- Worked for an ecommerce retailer as an analyst for at least 2 years
- Superuser in Google Analytics, Data Studio, and tag management
- Someone who loves data and expert user in Excel, data tools and visualisation
- Strong problem-solving ability with a commercial, practical business mindset and able to join up data to tell a story and communicate to business stakeholders
- Tenacious approach in looking for root causes
- Proven track record of driving change by presenting insights to senior stakeholders with confidence and simplicity
- Demonstrable experience of supporting an ecommerce function across optimisation, personalisation, and merchandising
- A team player who is happy to take ownership of analytics and get their hands dirty; this is a small team with big ambitions
