eCommerce Analyst - Tamworth
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced eCommerce Service Design Analyst to join our team and lead on designing new and improving existing eCommerce services within ALDI’s Customer Interaction Domain. You will be focusing on identifying and analysing customer experiences in relation to ALDI’s eCommerce offering and deciding on how to enhance those services globally within the Retail sector.
The Service Design Analyst role is accountable for transforming early-stage eCommerce related ideas into detailed designs, which will then be developed for market release. You will be tasked to utilise your skills and eCommerce background to develop service “blueprints” and define feature requirements which promise to deliver demonstrable benefits to end users. You will take ownership of the overall vision for our eCommerce offering, working in tandem with our team of Service Designers, as well as country and technical experts, to ensure each service is robustly defined through data and customer insight. Working alongside both domestic and international partners as well as technology specialists you will be required to demonstrate your ability to clearly articulate a service vision to a wide range of audiences.
You will be joining the Global Service Design team that sits mainly in our London or Tamworth offices.

Your New Role
- Design eCommerce related services which are aligned with the ALDI’s eCommerce strategic vision, meets the ambitions of our country stakeholders and expectations of our global markets
- Draw insights from previous eCommerce experience to help ensure designs are feasible, deliverable, and are aligned to market best practice
- Work with key stakeholders within the project to ensure requirements are captured, documented, and incorporated into the overall vision of the service
- Take a lead role in evolving Customer Interaction propositions into designs that illustrate simplicity
- Draw from a toolkit of service design techniques and artefacts to define a full end to end service – bringing each new concept to life
- Brief the service and design requirements to our technical stakeholders to ensure they develop and design solutions that are aligned with our vision
- Prototype and pilot new services and experiences with customers and business users
- Be proactive in working with technical teams to determine the right solutions to realise the service vision, and identify process, equipment, and automation requirements
- Gather and agree service operational metrics, assumptions, and business requirements for relevant areas
- Work alongside the Business Success Management team to prepare a full rollout of new eCommerce services globally
- Lead on development of the overall eCommerce service design, including customer experience/ customer journeys, business rules, stage design and branding guidelines in alignment with countries
- Design world-class services that blend digital, physical, and human interactions across multiple touch points, smartly bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities
- Developing, evaluating, and agreeing both concept and detailed designs with stakeholders
- Identifying and developing service processes, equipment, and automation requirements
About You
- Experience working on eCommerce topics within a retail organisation
- Ability to envision an overall service and play a leading role to ensure complete delivery of the initiative
- Highly proficient in the development of customer journeys and service blueprints
- Able to lead design workshops
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Service Design concept

- 5-day/40-hour week, working Monday- Friday, with an office on demand working model in our Tamworth office (you only come into the office when requested)
