We have our own Trading, Merchandising, Logistics, Content and Technology teams. It means it’s a jam-packed role with heaps of responsibility. This is about getting stuck in and making a big contribution so we can keep giving our customers new and exciting ways to shop.

We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we’re doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we’re opening new stores at lightning speed.

We are currently based in Tamworth whilst our Head Office in Atherstone gets a makeover, but the plan is to move back once the building is fully geared up to cope with our growth.

As a Product Manager, you will lead WebX team, working with the wider business to deliver enhancements that drive successful business outcomes via our web platforms. You will proactively work with business stakeholders to deliver improvements to our platforms as your team elicits, enhances, and documents requirements into user stories, ready for development. You will own the relationship with key business stakeholders and be responsible for regularly updating them and constantly driving to prioritise and then fulfil the requirements within the given budget. As part of this, you will own the overall roadmap for our platforms and be responsible for developing this with your team and seeking approval from the business.

This is a very challenging opportunity for a driven and proactive individual with excellent product management, communication and organisational skills, excellent ability to understand systems and business processes, analyse complex information and deliver outcomes to stakeholders at multiple levels.

Your New Role

 

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, user needs analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • To challenge the ‘norm’ by analysing data and working with stakeholders to drive requirements that evolve existing platforms
  • Analyses and documents solution processes and metrics, and identifies improvement opportunities
  • Analysis of business and user needs to develop and then manage a healthy backlog of ‘development ready’ work
  • Manage change throughout the full project lifecycle, from the initial benefits case through to detailed scoping/design, operational readiness and to support benefits realisation once live
  • Influences business partners regarding priorities
  • Ensure that features & optimisation experiments get delivered quickly and efficiently
  • Assesses, applies and projects the impact of system changes on users and internal and external clients or stakeholders
  • Formulates and defines scope and objectives through research and fact-finding
  • Work closely with the test stream and oversee the testing requirements based on the solution being provided
  • Manage change throughout the full project lifecycle, from the initial benefits case through to detailed scoping/design, operational readiness and to support benefits realization once live
  • Take ownership of one or more areas of work and regularly report to the project manager
  • Liaises with internal teams and third party contacts to ensure quality deliverables/solutions are fit for purpose and deliver an optimal customer experience
  • Prioritizes workload in a changing environment a

About You

 

  • As a Product Manager you will be highly self-motivated and directed and very comfortable in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experienced in leading Business Analysts teams and 3rd party Development Partners, coupled with the know how to help the team decide the best approach whilst challenging the validity of constraints
  • The successful candidate will have a very good knowledge of shop systems such as Orckestra, Oxid, Hybris or Spryker
  • You will be highly experienced in translating user and business needs into a clear product strategy and use your knowledge of user needs and business goals to frame problems and set priorities for your delivery teams.
  • Ability to build trust enabling the management and influencing of stakeholders at all levels
  • Displays flexibility, leadership and ability to deliver on tasks
  • Enquiring mind – asks why and demands the best for our customers, both end consumers and internal business users
  • Encourages an iterative approach, breaking large product goals into achievable slices for early and frequent delivery.
  • Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills and previous experience of keeping business stakeholders continuously updated.
  • Technically minded but business driven and confident in managing and mitigating risks and issues
  • The successful candidate will have experience as a Product Manager and experience of leading teams of Business Analysts and 3rd Party Developer teams
  • Proven track record in implementing a product or solution end to end, from vision to execution
  • You will ideally have experience supervising AB tests

  • Salary starting from £58,715 rising to £90,615
