Ecommerce Product Merchandiser - Bournemouth

We’ve only just turned 10 years old, and in that time we’ve accelerated from zero to £50m/year revenue, won local and national awards, and grown to 170-plus people. Our three websites – Drench, Tap Warehouse and Only Radiators – are growing from strength to strength and we’re looking for an Ecommerce Product Merchandiser who will help us to continue our growth journey.
This role will be responsible for developing and growing our product categories by launching new products onto our websites, delivering high-quality product listings that are accurate and compelling. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity where you’ll get to see your product launches go from brochure to spreadsheet to online ready for customers to purchase.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collating product data from our supplier brochures, technical datasheets, and from our suppliers via email, to add to import spreadsheets for upload to our websites
- Using stellar attention to detail to ensure the product attribute data is accurate and completed in full
- Resizing imagery that will compel our customers to purchase our products
- Writing accurate, informative and engaging feature and benefit lists for our product descriptions
- Creating reports on new product performance
- Communicating new product launches out to the wider company via our intranet
The skills and experience you’ll need:
- Google Sheets/Excel. Demonstrable experience in using either Google Sheets or Excel above a basic level. You’ll be using vlookups extensively so you’ll need to be confident with formulas.
- An impressive level of attention to detail and passion for the importance of data accuracy
- Excellent written communication skills
- Tech literate and the ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Ambition, initiative and top-notch organisational skills
- Image editing experience (Photoshop) would be beneficial but not essential as training can be provided
