The Opportunity
There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced eCommerce Product Merchandiser to join the Funky Pigeon Visual Merchandising team. This role is based at our Head Office in Ashton, South Bristol, however we have a blended approach between office and home working, so you will be able to achieve a great work-life balance.
Your main purpose will be to effectively merchandise all new & existing product ranges across Web & Apps, that ensures products and categories are presented to customers in an inspiring and commercial way, based on data and industry trends. Alongside, you will work with the team on the day-to-day trading & running of all platforms where you will make regular changes through wireframes based on the commercial plan. Additionally, you’ll be working closely with the rest of the Commercial & Marketing teams, as well as the Web Design team to ensure continuous optimisation of product listings, landing pages & navigation across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all products are categorised effectively & product content is optimised.
- Continuous monitoring, optimising & reporting of all product listings.
- Proactively reviewing the site, enforcing consistency across all pages and suggesting improvements focussed on the customer journey.
- Working alongside the team to ensure smooth running of site changes through the wireframes.
- Ensuring we have a best-in-class website and identify issues and snags – reporting anything to the dev team to fix.
- Keep abreast of market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity thus be able to identify market opportunities.
- Build strong cross functional relationships.
- Take accountability and support the team on various projects.
The Requirements for the Role
- Previous experience as an Ecommerce Product Merchandiser or equivalent.
- Experience with analysing & interpreting data.
- High attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise workload effectively.
- Proven ability to work within a team.
- Engaging and influential communication skills.
- High level of numeracy.
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
- A passion for online retail!
