As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be part of the Incremental Change team and will work with the wider business to help implement the IT Strategy to deliver successful business outcomes in an Agile environment.  You will proactively work with stakeholders to deliver opportunities for improvement through change to people, process and technology.

Your New Role

 

  • To Lead, guide, manage and continuously develop a team of Business Analysts
  • To Lead and manage the completion of all day-to-day Business Analyst activities
  • To work alongside the business to manage and facilitate Agile ceremonies whilst being the point of escalation where needed
  • To Lead Agile initiatives within the team and the wider business
  • To manage and develop a healthy backlog of ‘development ready’ work
  • Manage change throughout the full project lifecycle, from the initial benefits case through to detailed scoping/design, operational readiness and to support benefits realisation once live
  • To challenge the ‘norm’ and drive requirements to meet business needs
  • To work with business stakeholders to effectively elicit, understand, translate, validate, and document requirements
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, user needs analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
  • Liaise with internal teams and third-party contacts to ensure quality deliverables/solutions are fit for purpose and deliver an optimal customer experience
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: User stories, functional requirements, business requirements, gap analysis, use cases, process flows (BPMN2) and GUI/Screen/Interface designs.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Identify and drive quick win initiatives that support longer term business objectives
  • Prioritise workload in a changing environment and escalate as needed to ensure deliverables are met on schedule
  • To champion learning and development within the team

 

About You

 

  • Experience in leading and managing a team of business analysts
  • The Senior Business Analyst will be highly self-motivated and directed, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies
  • You will have the ability to clearly communicate (both verbal and written) customer and business context to technical teams
  • Ability to build trust enabling the management and influencing of stakeholders at all levels
  • Escalates as needed to ensure on time deliverables
  • Displays flexibility, leadership, and ability to deliver on tasks
  • Enquiring mind – asks why and demands the best for our customers, both end consumers and internal business users
  • Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills
  • Technically minded but business driven
  • Adaptable to a changing environment with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Confident in managing and mitigating risks and issues
  • Logical and efficient, with a keen attention to detail

  • Salary starting from £55,915 rising to £72,530
