Full Job Description

Our eCommerce team is like a business in its own right. And you’ll challenge how we do things, paving the way to new and better ideas.

We have our own Trading, Merchandising, Logistics, Content and Technology teams. It means it’s a jam-packed role with heaps of responsibility. This is about getting stuck in and making a big contribution so we can keep giving our customers new and exciting ways to shop.

We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we’re doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we’re opening new stores at lightning speed.

We are currently based in Tamworth whilst our Head Office in Atherstone gets a makeover, but the plan is to move back once the building is fully geared up to cope with our growth.

We are looking for an experienced Test Team Leader to enhance and guide the Testing team as we move into new areas of testing with both Legacy and Ahead testing coordination and increased team sizes as a consequence.

Residing within our IT Store Applications team, the post holder will report to the IT Store Applications Manager, helping to develop the skills and competencies required in the National IT Testing Team, whilst helping to deliver Testing requirements in conjunction with the team.

The position demands strong Store and POS experience, knowledge and understanding within the testing discipline as part of Aldi’s legacy environment with a view to incorporate any testing requirements in the future. Communication and coordination of personnel is a key factor, working directly with the testing teams to coordinate and consolidate equipment and testing requirements throughout the respective life cycles in both areas. Exceptional organisational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever-changing business requirements will also be essential and demonstrable. This allows for individual scope and breadth to be demonstrated within the role, working inside parameters agreed with the IT Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop within the business and play a key part in shaping the future of Aldi globally. Ready for more? Apply to join #TeamAldi today!
