You will be joining the Global Service Design team that sits mainly in London or Tamworth, but operates an office-on-demand model, reflecting its future-facing approach. The Global Business Service Design team are responsible for creating new Digital and Commerce services working in conjunction with in-country representatives.
As a Digital Design Manager, you will lead the Business Service Design team that are responsible for designing Business Services within the global Customer Interaction team (areas of responsibility include eCommerce, Web, Mobile, CRM and Marketing), and will enhance ALDI’s digital presence in the Retail sector.
As part of a hugely ambitious global change programme, you will join a team responsible for the successful implementation of new strategy, software systems and processes to improve the customer experience and loyalty which, by working with other business functions, will ensure Aldi remains relevant in the changing world. You will be at the forefront of shaping a global business and how we deliver incredible value and experience to our customers.

Your New Role
- Lead, coach and motivate a team that represents a primary interface between the business and the central IT organisation to drive ongoing development and improvement to our service portfolio.
- Responsible for ensuring the global services meet the needs of the business and they remain current and effective in today’s fast-moving world.
- Leading within your work streams, including driving business engagement, and managing a global community of internal and external stakeholders.
- Driving change and ensuring key business objectives are achieved and implemented globally.
- Design and lead world-class services that blend digital, physical and human interactions across multiple touch points, smartly bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities.
- Drive and design the future of customer Loyalty at detailed and strategic levels.
- Develop the overall service design, including customer experience/ customer journeys, business rules, stage design and branding guidelines in alignment with countries.
- Ensuring achievable services designs by evaluating their complexity and technical dependencies with IT stakeholders
About You
- Degree level or equivalent qualification
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and senior business leaders
- Experience working within service design, business change, customer centric transformation, eCommerce or digital transformation
- Previous management experience
- Comfortable and familiar with technology in the sphere of Loyalty and Customer Interaction
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and excellent numerical skills

- Working Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm, with an office on demand working model in our Tamworth office (you only come into the office when requested)
