The Role & Responsibilities

Crosstown is looking for an experienced Head of eCommerce & Digital to own our digital sales channel that has been built up over several years. This is a newly created role in the company with the function previously sitting within the Marketing department. Crosstown is a maturing omnichannel business and a dedicated small digital team is being built to take us to the next level. You will lead the digital strategy, guiding our established agency partners who execute on performance marketing, SEO, website maintenance and broader company-wide IT systems.

This role reports directly into the CEO.

Crosstown’s digital sales stem from three core sources which will fall under your remit:

– d2c (powered by Slerp) with the core website run from WordPress, as well as a native app. This includes same-day orders and pre-orders via delivery and click and collect.

– d2c enquiries (i.e., corporate catering, weddings, events) with enquiries coming through the website and managed using HubSpot.

– Marketplace same-day delivery orders via Deliveroo from the store network.

Key accountabilities

1. The overall online customer journey (web and app)

2. The site performance

3. The design and execution of the digital strategies with the dual goal of increasing customer acquisition and customer retention

4. To work hand in hand with the head of Marketing & Sales to always ensure One customer experience and One brand expression

Your Experience

You come from a background being an eCommerce lead in a scaling brand in the UK but are comfortable getting your hands dirty. You consider yourself an all-rounder, understanding how to execute on the various components of a digital strategy to increase digital sales. You are comfortable managing a CRM strategy, through to website optimisation and working with multiple systems. You have dealt with seven-figure targets and managing a budget.

Your Skillset

– Experience managing a d2c brand that is scaling.

– You are comfortable around WordPress (Divi experience desirable) and know HTML/CSS.

– You know how to track and measure the core KPI’s to achieve optimal digital sales.

– You are comfortable using GA and other tools.

– You know your way around a CRM system, running automations and segmentation for email marketing (SMS marketing experience desirable)

– You have worked with colleagues or agencies who undertake PPC and SEO. You know how to get most out of these resources to feed into your digital strategy.

– You are comfortable around WordPress (Divi experience desirable) and know HTML/CSS. (desirable) You have experience reporting regularly to senior management /board on progress (desirable)

The Package / Benefits

– £60 to 70k base salary (pending on experience)
