Full Job Description

We are looking for a Head of eCommerce to join us at Ooni to help steer the store management and trading of our direct to consumer channels, and also to help us eat lots of tasty pizza.

A Little About the Job

We are looking for an eCommerce champion to come in and guide our onsite product merchandising, content management, reporting, marketplaces and website experience activities and to drive our eCommerce to the next level.

 

You will report into the Director of eCommerce and Digital Marketing and be an integral part of our awesome eCommerce and Digital marketing team. You will also work alongside our fabulous performance marketing, customer engagement & loyalty and our data & analytics teams. If that wasn’t enough cool people to work with you also get to collaborate with our, equally awesome, demand planning, NPD and software product & IT system teams.

 


What you’ll do:

  • Guide the day-to-day trading and operational management of the Ooni.com website, with responsibility for the merchandising, content and website experience teams.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of web and customer metrics to identify opportunities for growth and recommend actions across various teams based upon these insights
  • Collaborate with software product teams , IT teams and data & business intelligence teams to ensure roadmaps align with eCommerce growth needs and business opportunities
  • Collaborate with supply and demand planning teams to ensure product supply aligns with on site merchandising activities, our promotional calendar and digital marketing activations.
  • Identifying and strategise merchandising opportunities on the site spanning product ranking, recommendations, content & banners, and on-site search
  • Have oversight of the daily trading and reporting of the Marketplaces channel performance (Amazon)
  • Define and act as the champion for marketplace growth strategy, including data management, program integration, and operational performance of the channel
  • Support the eCommerce & Digital Marketing teams with long term strategy definition and translation of that strategy in a defined and tangible roadmap
  • Guide and define priorities to creative teams to ensure creatives can be delivered in a timely manner
    Manage regular eCommerce reporting activities
  • Get a big kick from doing this and inspire those around them

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 5+ years experience at a senior level within eCommerce, in a trade-focused role
  • Have a demonstrable track record of delivering online growth
  • Be flexible and able to think on your feet in a fast-growing and changing environment
  • Ability to work both at a high-level strategic view as well as being able to delve into the minutiae
  • An inspirational leader who can help grow and support our current eCommerce team
  • Data driven and adept at tracking eCommerce KPI’s at scale and being able to drive insights and opportunities
  • Experience in trading an international website and with an in-depth understanding of challenges around localisation, relevancy and supporting technology needed to enable that
  • Experience in rolling out and scaling eCommerce marketplaces (ideally with some experience in drop-shipping/partner programme)
  • A creative, commercially savvy Digital leader with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in managing roadmaps and projects.
