Head of Ecommerce - London
Full Job Description
We are currently looking for a Head of Ecommerce for Penhaligon’s. In this role, you will drive the brand’s growing global eCommerce business. You will sit a broader Digital team of +55 people based in London covering a portfolio of Niche DTC brands.
Head of Ecommerce Responsibilities:
- Defines global and localised vision and strategy for Penhaligon’s sites (UK, US, ME, EU) aligned with brand strategy.
- Manages and optimises Ecommerce P&L in conjunction with the Ecommerce Director.
- Responsible for the strategy and smooth execution of innovation roadmap.
- Defines new market opportunities and leads market entry.
- Responsible for successful launch of new site platform launch in Q3 2023.
- Defines site enhancements and projects to optimise customer experience across the entire journey.
- Manages team of 3 that develop and own trading, content, and merchandising plan.
- Responsible for delivering sales and conversion targets against budget, working closely with finance to align on commercial forecasts.
- Supervise product forecasting in conjunction with demand planning
- Ensure onsite product presentation, visibility, and navigation standards are maintained with maximum product exposure across the website and marketing channels.
- Define and implement continuous reporting and analysis on conversion, engagement, and success metrics and leverage data to inform smarter choices and develop new initiatives for the site.
- Overseas trading calendar and supports on tactical opportunities to ensure targets are met.
- Identifies new opportunities to enhance the consumer experience and create immersive brand engagement and frictionless shopping.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, proactively sharing and advocating the use of new and relevant features and tools.
- Hold in-depth knowledge of the tools/systems, providing requirements to the tech teams to develop them and achieve results.
- Key business stakeholder for web enhancements and improvements, influencing and advising on the digital product, A/B testing, and insights roadmap whilst ensuring a consistent, optimised experience across all platforms and improving customer satisfaction and NPS score for the site.
- Understanding the customer at a channel level and their respective end-to-end buying cycles in order to ‘problem solve‘ and address necessary barriers to purchase.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience leading and growing DTC businesses and teams.
- An experienced commercial leader ideally in the Luxury, Beauty or Consumer Goods industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical skills to support data-led decision making
- Hands on professional with a strategic mindset, capable of delivering an ambitious, yet achievable trading plan
- A firm grasp on supporting technologies & ecommerce fundamentals.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Provide strong, inspiring leadership and develop team through leading by example, maintaining passion and excitement for the brand and business.
- Experience managing P&L.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with partnership experience across functional teams.
