We’re looking for a senior eCommerce merchandising manager to join us and help us to successfully deliver our eCommerce strategy. As the UK’s number one convenience retailer, we’re giving shoppers more ways to engage with our brand and products online, and you’ll be key to making sure we can provide for our members and customers with the products they love.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting the strategy for your categories, leading your team to handle all aspects of the category end-to-end and deliver effectively against key commercial measures. We’ll look to you to work closely with our buying teams and key suppliers, making sure we have the right proposition for the customer across our online platforms. What you’ll do

  • be responsible for the P&L of the online business for your categories (sales, basket, average item price, profit margin)
  • develop and maintain an understanding of commercial performance and customer behaviour across our online platforms, making changes in the short, medium, and long term accordingly
  • work collaboratively with multiple teams and partners across the business, consolidating differing points of view and influencing to enable clear decision-making
  • make sure your team are working collaboratively with our e-commerce field operations teams
  • be responsible for GSCOP adherence on our website and when negotiating with suppliers
  • be responsible for pricing and promotions on the website including adherence to GCA rules and regulations
  • identify and develop website functionality and back-end tools that will be delivered by tech teams

  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, collaborate and bring multiple teams together to work effectively
  • the ability to plan and think strategically, setting the vision for the medium and long term
