Senior eCommerce Trading Operations Manager - Nuneaton

The Role:

As a Senior eCommerce Trading Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading eCommerce trading operations across H&B UK, Ireland and App. This involves supporting the execution of product content & promotions, content & asset management from briefs through to implementations, site personalisation, product and campaign photography and developing supplier revenue opportunities. There will also be a huge focus around building operational efficiencies into the teams.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Planning and executing commercial and marketing digital operations across all categories and site. Including but not exclusive to product content and lifecycle maintenance, promotional period management and assets to support and key landing page management including homepage
  • Coordinates execution of all campaign and trend driven merchandising activity across digital channels
  • Works with commercial, supply chain and marketing teams to effectively to plan promotional and customer campaign calendar and maximise business opportunities
  • Build the digital supplier revenue strategy with a focus on enriched customer experience, return on spend and data to support suppliers in better leveraging key opportunities
  • Build stronger NPD activation plans to further accelerate the growth across strategic categories and brands and to bring some theatre to these products
  • Partner with key data and tech squads (PIM & Content) to ensure digital have all product data needs met to drive findability, conversion and experience and build out further requirement to make improvements to this moving ahead
  • Partner with the personalisation tech squad to increase the level of personalisation of journeys across the site and transitioning to a customer lead site experience to drive incremental performance vs a promotional and subjective experiences
  • Partner with the Digital Trade Planning Manager in the commercial team to ensure commercial team support is in place for core commercial plans, supplier funding as well as new performance opportunities
  • Provide strategic direction to enhance the performance of campaign/marketing across website and app
  • Focused on optimisations of the website areas you cover by analysing all data available to make recommendations around potential opportunities or gaps
  • Analyse website performance using all the key tools, dashboards, data points available to make improvement recommendations that support performance growth and reduce pain points where they occur. Build new requirements working alongside the Data team and Finance Business Partners where needed
  • Leadan operationally focussed team of eCommerce professionals
  • Build strong training, development and succession plans for your team to drive their growth and to build a best in class and highly motivated team
  • Keep a finger on the pulse on market/competitor activity and technology to ensure we are always learning and developing new solutions that keep us ahead of the industry
  • Regularly collaborate with the senior digital leadership team to ensure there is alignment of plans and activity across digital marketing and omni-channel operations
The Person:
  • Extensive management experience driving digital ecommerce operations in an omnichannel retail environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role delivering eCommerce operations and strategy, preferably within the retail sector – shaping and overseeing a team
  • Project management methodology and demonstrated ability to successfully deliver high quality, on-time, and on-budget projects
  • Capability analysing data, rapidly detecting trends, and effectively implementing corrective plans in a timely manner
  • Experience leading and developing a team aspiring towards Senior and Head of roles
  • A confident communicator; able to build relationships at all levels cross-functionally within H&B and externally
  • Experience in onsite marketing and UX/CX development
