As the Senior Manager for eCommerce Merchandising you will report to the Senior Director for Asda.com and play a crucial role in improving and maintaining our customer journey, range and value perception across the Online Groceries platform. You will lead a diverse and large team of 20+ colleagues split into a mixture of disciplines across category merchandising, product content and listing process, category design, and q-commerce range selection and maintenance.

You will also be a part of a wider Senior Manager leadership group which covers Media Spend and Events, Portfolio, Trading and Data Science, where your leadership skillset will come into play enabling cross functional change, ways of working and team building.

Key Elements Your Team will deliver:

  • Land all product content changes across New Product Design and Packaging Amends, on time through the Product Content Critical path, team and third party (Brandbank)
  • Merchandise our product categories in line with activity changes, key seasonal periods and customer trends
  • Ensure our Search engine is backed up by best in class merchandising decisions
  • Support and Drive our quick commerce businesses through smart ranging for immediacy propositions
  • Champion excellence in execution across Category assets, design and bespoke customer journeys
  • Be a solid foundation of the Asda.com team, serving as both an execution team for the trading function, and also a guiding beacon on ecommerce merchandising solutions

About You

  • Experience of managing ecommerce systems
  • Track record of managing colleagues and teams
  • An eye for quality and design
  • Good knowledge base across retail basics; supply, trading, marketing and operations
  • Ability to consume the full business activity plan, and execute using your team to meet product and category launch deadlines
  • Proven experience at reading data & trends, forming good judgment and leading towards a goal
  • Personality to fit a diverse and fun team, with the ability to get the best out of individuals
  • Capable to take control and take big decision making for any in the moment problems
  • Able to communicate upwards and sideways to all levels, across merchandising health, projects and P&L support
