The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. Merchant acquisition & incubation team is responsible for UK merchant growth, aiming to onboard, incubate, educate merchants and deliver graduate merchants to UK Category teams for long-term business growth.

Job Description


  • Lead the merchant incubation team and be responsible for thousands of merchant growth from scratch in TikTok Shop, aiming to increase merchant activeness, sales and retention.
  • Figure out merchants pain points and life-cycle growth strategy in a data-driven approach, identify opportunities to increase the business for sellers through scalable solutions.
  • Lead the team to manage the roll-out including but not limited to incentive policy, growth mission, merchant community, email campaign, merchant education and other incubation activities.
  • Work with Product team and other cross-functions to optimize merchant journey in product uploading, content production and after-sales experience with robust product features and smooth experience in TikTok Shop.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, 5+ years experience in mass account management or mass seller incubation, experience of managing hundreds of sellers is required.
  • Has experience in mass seller, user or client management, familiar with key levels including but not limited to incentive policy, growth mission, merchant community, email campaign, merchant education etc.
  • Good data sense, ability to deal with complex business analysis and intelligence in defining goals and opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in a highly results-oriented environment with external client interaction is required.
  • Has experience of managing teams. Good at cross-team collaboration and moving things forward, ability to drive successful projects with a wide range of people.
  • Structured and original thinking, ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and explain complex concepts simply.
  • Quick learner, proactive and resilient, ability to cope well under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK e-commerce landscape, consumer demands, digital evolution and mobile transformation is a plus.
