Website Optimisation Analyst – George.com
About the role:
Working within the Website Optimisation team, you will be responsible for the evaluation, set up and development of optimisation projects as well as the continuous improvement of the George.com through the website optimisation programme.
As a Website Optimisation Senior Analyst within the George eCommerce team, you will be required to use analytics and customer journey evidence to evaluate the performance of the George.com website, create hypotheses for experimentation and provide detailed conclusions to underpin decisions. You will work alongside our trading, merchandising, marketing and development teams to discover a range of opportunities to improve our website performance. You will champion end to end customer analysis, looking holistically at all avenues and touch points that impact customers and where we can optimise their journeys.
The details:
- Work within the optimisation team on analysing SEO traffic and result types, providing hypotheses for testing and making data driven decisions.
- Work closely with the wider eCommerce team to drive onsite search improvements and recommendations based on a statistical trends and facts.
- Understand and analyse data to drive personalisation strategies.
- Provide honest recommendations to business stakeholders to enable them to make accurate decisions.
- Use performance data analysis to improve customer frustration points and find opportunities to ease the customers shopping journey.
- Use customer feedback to understand and identify opportunities for improvements and developments.
- Support business teams to limit impact on site speed and performance, advising on new initiatives.
- Work with third parties to drive efficiencies whilst keeping them accountable for their deliverables.
- Participate and present in meetings and regular sessions to update stakeholders.
What you will need:
An appetite to work within a large-scale eCommerce environment with a strong customer focus. Experience of working within a transactional retail environment and a good understanding of SEO would be beneficial.
Essential:
- Experience with analytic tools such as Adobe Experience Cloud.
- Experience and knowledge with personalisation tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to ‘peel back the layers’ of issues to pinpoint the root cause and provide actionable insights.
- Experience with website experimentation tools.
- Clarity of thought, effective influencing skills and the ability to use data to back up decision making.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with multiple teams and stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Strong eye for detail and diligent problem solving.
- Ability to problem solve and the confidence to take initiative.
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong personal discipline to ensure tasks are followed through to completion.
- A willingness to travel between ASDA and George head offices (Leeds & Lutterworth).
