ROLE OVERVIEW

By Dr. Vali is seeking an E-Commerce Manager to lead the strategic direction and operational performance of the BDV digital storefront at a pivotal stage in the brand's commercial growth. Reporting directly to Dr. Vali, this senior commercial role holds full accountability for online revenue, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value across the BDV product portfolio.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the direct to consumer engine of one of the most distinctive luxury medical brands in the world. The successful candidate will combine sharp commercial acumen with digital craftsmanship, deep Magento expertise, fluency in AI driven workflows, and an instinct for the elevated retail experience BDV is known for.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Commercial Performance

  • Lead the development and delivery of the BDV global e-commerce strategy, aligned to the brand's product roadmap, launch sequence, and commercial objectives.
  • Own the digital storefront profit and loss, with accountability for revenue, conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value.
  • Define and deliver quarterly and annual e-commerce targets across the full product portfolio.
  • Develop pricing, promotional, and bundling strategies that protect brand equity while driving sustainable revenue growth.
  • Serve as the senior commercial voice on all matters relating to the BDV digital storefront and report directly to Dr. Vali.

Magento Platform Ownership

  • Own the BDV Magento storefront end to end, including catalogue management, attribute and category architecture, extension management, theme configuration, and release planning.
  • Lead the technical roadmap for the Magento platform in close collaboration with the technical lead, prioritising upgrades, integrations, and performance work that drive conversion and retention.
  • Manage Magento integrations across Klaviyo, Pabau, payment providers, shipping, tax, and analytics, ensuring data integrity across the stack.
  • Oversee Magento security, patching, performance monitoring, and platform stability, working with the technical lead to maintain merchant grade reliability.
  • Brief, manage, and quality assure external Magento developers and agencies on platform work.

Website Operations and User Experience

  • Own the operational performance of the BDV digital storefront, including site speed, uptime, mobile experience, and checkout flow.
  • Oversee product page optimisation across the full BDV portfolio within Magento, ensuring every product detail page reflects clinical accuracy, brand voice, and conversion best practice.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement programme for site navigation, search, information architecture, and accessibility.
  • Manage Magento content workflows, including landing page builds, campaign pages, category merchandising, and seasonal updates.

Conversion Optimisation and Funnel Performance

  • Lead a structured testing programme across landing pages, product detail pages, cart, and checkout to drive measurable improvements in conversion.
  • Identify and resolve friction points across the full customer funnel, from first touch through to post purchase.
  • Drive the conversion of online traffic into both product purchases and clinic appointments at the 360 Experiential Centre, recognising the lead to appointment funnel as a critical commercial lever.
  • Manage cart abandonment recovery and browse abandonment journeys in close partnership with the email marketing function on Klaviyo.

Product Launches and Merchandising

  • Lead the e-commerce execution of all product launches, including device, skincare, and longevity propositions.
  • Coordinate with the Communications team on launch storytelling, content sequencing, and campaign rollout.
  • Own the merchandising calendar, including seasonal campaigns, gifting moments, and category specific activations.
  • Manage the production and approval pipeline for product photography, video, and copy assets used across the digital storefront.

Customer Retention and Subscription

  • Own the BDV Auto Replenish subscription programme, with accountability for subscriber acquisition, retention, churn, and lifetime value.
  • Develop and operate the BDV loyalty proposition, ensuring it reinforces the brand's premium positioning while delivering measurable commercial impact.
  • Build a structured retention programme in collaboration with the Communications team, covering lifecycle email, customer reactivation, and post purchase experience.

AI and Personalisation

  • Embed AI driven workflows across the e-commerce function to accelerate analysis, content production, merchandising, and customer service operations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement AI tools for product recommendation, personalisation, dynamic pricing, conversion optimisation, and predictive analytics.
  • Build prompt libraries, custom workflows, and skill based systems that allow the wider team to operate at higher speed and quality without compromising brand voice or clinical accuracy.
  • Use AI assisted analysis to interpret performance data, identify commercial patterns, and accelerate decision making.
  • Partner with the Communications and Clinical teams to ensure all AI generated outputs meet BDV editorial, regulatory, and brand standards before publication.
  • Stay current on AI developments relevant to luxury direct to consumer commerce and bring forward considered recommendations for adoption.

Data, Analytics, and Reporting

  • Build and maintain a clear performance dashboard covering revenue, conversion, traffic, retention, and product level metrics.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly commercial reporting to Dr. Vali and the senior leadership team, with a clear point of view on performance and recommended action.
  • Conduct cohort analysis, customer behaviour analysis, and channel attribution to inform strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Use data, supported by AI driven analysis where appropriate, to identify opportunities for growth and to position investment where it delivers the highest return.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work in close partnership with the Communications, Clinical, and Operations functions to ensure all e-commerce activity reflects clinical accuracy, brand integrity, and operational reality.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team on email marketing, content production, influencer activation, and the affiliate programme.
  • Coordinate with the technical lead on platform releases, integrations, and data infrastructure across the digital storefront and Pabau.
  • Manage external vendor and agency relationships across e-commerce platform, performance media, AI tooling, and analytics.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior e-commerce, digital, or direct to consumer commercial role.
  • Deep hands on experience managing and optimising a Magento storefront (Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce), including catalogue management, attribute and category architecture, extension and theme management, release planning, and merchant facing configuration.
  • Demonstrable experience managing Magento integrations across email, clinical, payment, shipping, tax, and analytics platforms.
  • Comfortable briefing, managing, and quality assuring Magento developers and agencies, with sound judgement on what should be built in house versus delivered through a partner.
  • A proven track record of growing online revenue and improving conversion in a luxury, premium, or medically adjacent brand environment.
  • Demonstrable fluency with AI tools applied to commercial workflows, including large language models, AI assisted analytics, AI driven personalisation engines, and prompt engineering for repeatable team workflows.
  • Hands on knowledge of Klaviyo, Google Analytics 4, and conversion testing tools.
  • Demonstrable success launching premium consumer products and managing subscription or auto replenish programmes.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into a clear commercial point of view.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sound editorial judgement and respect for brand voice.
  • Comfortable operating in a senior, founder facing role across multiple high priority workstreams simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations within the cosmetic, medical, or wellness sector is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with Pabau or equivalent clinical management platforms is an advantage.
