The Role

Gingko Design is an award-winning UK-based brand known for creating innovative, design-led, and sustainable lifestyle products. We supply globally to leading retailers, concept stores, and design-led outlets, while continuing to grow our direct-to-consumer presence through our own digital channels.

We’re looking for a commercially driven and hands-on Ecommerce Manager to take ownership of our direct-to-consumer (B2C) performance and drive the next phase of our online growth.

This role goes beyond managing a website — you’ll be responsible for actively growing revenue, improving conversion, and strengthening our digital presence across multiple channels, including our website, Amazon, and other marketplaces.

You’ll also support our wholesale (B2B) team with digital initiatives, helping ensure consistency in brand presentation and identifying opportunities to support trade sales through online channels.

This is a key role within the business, suited to someone who is proactive, data-driven, and focused on delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce & Revenue Growth

- Take full ownership of B2C ecommerce performance, with clear responsibility for revenue growth and conversion optimisation

- Identify and execute opportunities to increase traffic, improve conversion rates, and grow average order value

- Set clear performance targets and drive initiatives to achieve them

Website & Customer Experience

- Manage and continuously improve the company website (Woo-commerce), ensuring a high-performing and intuitive user experience

- Optimise product pages, navigation, and checkout flow to maximise conversion

- Work closely with the internal team to ensure product launches and updates are executed effectively

Digital Marketing & Performance

- Plan, execute, and optimise performance marketing across:

  • Google Ads (PPC)
  • Paid social (Meta, etc.)
  • SEO
  • Email marketing (Mailchimp or similar)

- Analyse campaign performance and continuously improve ROI

- Develop and test new channels and growth opportunities

Marketplaces (Amazon & Others)

- Manage and optimise product listings on Amazon and other marketplaces

- Improve visibility, conversion, and performance across these channels

- Identify opportunities to expand marketplace presence

Data, Reporting & Insights

- Monitor and analyse key ecommerce metrics (traffic, conversion, AOV, ROAS, etc.)

- Translate data into clear actions and improvements

- Provide regular performance updates with insights and recommendations

Brand & B2B Support

- Ensure strong and consistent brand presentation across all digital touchpoints

- Support the wholesale (B2B) team with digital marketing initiatives where needed

- Assist with content, campaigns, or online tools that support trade customers

Continuous Improvement

- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve systems, processes, and performance

- Take ownership of testing and implementing new ideas to drive growth

About You

- Proven experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or a similar commercial role

- Strong understanding of performance marketing channels (Google Ads, paid social, SEO, email)

- Confident working with ecommerce platforms (Shopify preferred)

- Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into clear actions

- Commercially focused — you understand revenue, margins, and ROI

- Proactive and hands-on — you take ownership rather than wait for direction

- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growing business

Desirable

- Experience with Amazon or marketplace management

- Experience within consumer products, lifestyle, or design-led brands

- Understanding of international ecommerce

- Interest in design, sustainability, or innovative products

Salary & Benefits

£36,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

+ Annual Performance-based bonus linked to ecommerce growth and key business metrics

This role offers strong opportunity for progression as the business continues to grow.

Additional Note

This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership and being directly responsible for performance, rather than purely executing tasks.
