We are looking for a commercially driven and hands-on Head of Ecommerce to lead the performance and growth of our established online retail business, operating across five high-volume websites.

This is a key role in the business, offering real autonomy and the chance to shape the future of our online operation. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will lead an e-commerce team and work closely with the marketing, customer service, operations, and development teams to drive continued online growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the digital trading strategy across five high-volume websites
• Drive revenue growth, conversion performance, customer engagement, and retention
• Manage key online trading KPIs, including conversion rate, AOV, and website revenue
• Oversee website performance, user experience, onsite merchandising, and promotional activity
• Work closely with developers and third-party agencies to implement improvements and new functionality
• Use analytics and customer behaviour data to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation
• Manage and support an e-commerce team
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align campaigns and landing pages for maximum performance
• Oversee ecommerce platforms, integrations, payment systems, and digital tools

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior ecommerce or online retail role
• Proven experience driving growth within a high-volume retail environment
• Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms such as Shopify
• Experience managing websites, online trading, CRO, and digital merchandising
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical decision-making skills
• Previous experience managing or mentoring a team
• Hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategy and day-to-day execution
• This is a hybrid role based in Peterborough, with a minimum of 3 mandatory office days per week.
