- Define the roadmap for worldwide payment methods, ensuring we support local preferences and regional compliance across all clients.
- Balance requirements and feature parity across various client implementations within the ecosystem.
People Management & Mentorship
- Directly manage and coach a team of 3-4 product owners.
- Serve as a senior mentor within the department, upskilling the team in product discovery, delivery and data informed decision making.
- Foster a high-performance, product centric culture that prioritises user experience and measurable outcomes.
Data-Driven Leadership
- Understand the unit economics of payments, including interchange fees, processing costs, and the financial impact of fraud mitigation.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to track checkout health, using data to justify roadmap prioritisations.
- Lead a rigorous experimentation program to validate checkout optimisations before global rollout.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with global payment service providers (PSPs) and fraud prevention partners to ensure optimal service levels.
- Work closely with Engineering, UX Design, Finance, and Legal to deliver compliant and high-performing payment features.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience as a line manager for a team of product owners.
- Significant experience in eCommerce product management - specifically within checkout, payments, or order management systems.
- Strong understanding of global payment types (e.g., Digital Wallets, Local Cards, BNPL) and the nuances of international eCommerce.
- Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and financial metrics to drive product strategy.
- Ability to manage the complexity of a multi client, worldwide platform.
- Strong technical literacy regarding APIs and payment processing flows.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
